Pansori 판소리
Pansori is a traditional Korean art form performed by one vocalist (kwangdae) and one percussionist (gosu). The singer uses a fan to emphasize movement during the singing.
Traditional pansori performances can last several hours and involve the retelling of a classical Korean folktale - a madang.
Visitors can catch a performance of pansori at the The National Theater of Korea in Seoul.
